Why does the image at 9:09 have a red X on the left and the right have a green check? What’s wrong with sitting in the back row vs the 2nd to last if they are both open? If the couple in the left was any different (doing something different than the couple on the right), then I’d understand but they are exactly the same
If they’re watching, why don’t they ever do anything when someone spends the whole movie with their bright phone glaring and distracting other audience members?
This video should be called "10 Interesting facts about Movie Theaters"..... I can't really tell that they didn't want me to know this.. Imagine if the secret got out!! -.-
I’ve been tempted to go see movies while I was on call. Asssuming I ever did, I would have no choice but to answer my phone while walking out of the theater if it did ring.
Because they don't care. Plus, in France, we have some "unlimited entry pass" card offers whose holders often stopped giving a f*ck about the audience, taking the movie theater as their own private living room.
freeNode5 too bad that doesn't work at all . Now a days the only refills are same day. Or a refillable 3.50 bucket or something like that. The one time refills get a tab ripped off the side. Once it's ripped no more refill for said tub.
As a movie theater owner, I can tell you the very first "fact" they list is wrong, After two months, the film companies still take some of the profits. While most film rentals decrease quite a bit after two months, some films remain at the same percentage, say 65%, for the entire run of the film. Most films aren't making much after 8 weeks, but the film companies are typically still taking about 35%, or so. For older films that are no longer in regular release, the distributors at least charge a minimum, even if it's $250. In over 20 years of theater ownership, I've never had a film company let us take 100% of the profits. Ever. Also, not EVERY theater has cameras on you as you watch the movie. We don't. We do have employees walk the theaters to check for issues, but we're not watching your every move. Not only would that be kind of creepy, it's dark. It would be pretty expensive to equip several auditoriums with numerous cameras that are capable of producing a decent image in dark conditions.
Wondering why employees walk with a red glowing stick up and down the stairs lightly swinging it for about 3 minutes and walk out. What is the reason behind it?
Tmccalmont Whenever I go on the bright side I say, “This is it, I’ve officially let myslef down! I Couldn’t find my own reasceh on my own tome and have to trust the Bright Side. I ahve to join the rest of the clueless sheep” Thank you for your outlook, It helps! What happens if someone gets caught with food?
@@sierrajoham I can say that I have done the same with past gfs and never had we been bothered. We would watch a movie that's been out for awhile so we could have the theater to ourselves lol . HS days sure were the best !!
Poor guys... Movie theaters here in our country allow outside foods. So no need to snuck it in there or hide it you can even go inside while eating outside foods and it will just be fine.
Truth - those seats, railings, armrests...are NEVER cleaned. I worked at a major theater franchise. We had a corporate manager coming in to check out the theater. So all of us had to work overnight one night to clean up the theaters. Even then, we weren't cleaning the seats. We were using black Sharpies to fill in any divots in railings and armrests. We were making sure that the walls weren't ripped. And looking out for any major problems. Now if that's the extent of what they're going to do when a corporate manager is coming by, do you think they're going to work as hard any specific day? Absolutely not. Yes we did have a cleaning crew come in overnights, but all they did was vacuum, clean the bathrooms, clean the concession area, wash the windows, and clean up any major spills in the theater aisles. So those seats you're sitting in and resting your head back in... Never been cleaned. It's enough to make you want to only watch Netflix and Redbox. After working in the theatre, that's what I do.
DeceptiveSmog yeah a couple theaters in my area seem excellent. They actually have leather couches for seats, which I imagine are easy to wipe clean real quick so I hope they do it lol I don’t know why a theater would invest in electronic reclining couches and not maintain them properly. Then on the other side of the spectrum I’ve seen theaters that I wouldn’t doubt share the same practices this guy is talking about.
The camera thing isn't true. I worked for Regal for years and yes, some very large, very busy theaters have them but it's not as common as this makes it sound. That's why you'll see employees walk the theater 2 or 3 times during the movie. Checking things out.
It's just an added expense for the theater to add on top of other expenses that could be done away with .. especially when you can just have your employees just check it out . Some theaters just have an attendant near the entrance in case you need them for whatever during large audience viewings.
It’s worth mentioning that since they make all their money on concessions, theatres are very easily convinced to offer refunds. If you go to a theatre and something about your experience isn’t great, tell the staff. Or you can call and even sometimes email a representative that will offer movie passes to make up for the experience. Since the theatre doesn’t make much on the actual film, giving free passes will encourage people to come back and spend more money on concessions.
Yeah... only kind of. From working at a movie theater, we have had people rudely demand a movie refund for not liking the movie, despite sitting through the entire thing. If something is wrong with the film, come out immediately.
Fun fact: if you spill a drink in the theatre let an employee know so we can get a mop and clean it up instead of letting us find out an hour after it's happened
To Janeen Eddy: This would be the right thing to do; however, even in life doing the right thing at the wrong time will have its good Samaritan seeking system stymied, and finding the not so good situation being bestowed upon the well-meaning.
I work at one of the best Movie Theatres in the U.S. we clean after every show. Our guest services is what brings people back. Our loyalty program is next to none. Our projectionists are constantly doing checks and CAN fix projection issues in minutes. We aren’t like bigger theatre chains, but we give you everything with a smile.
I do enjoy Harkins here in Oklahoma. Comfy seats and pretty decent staff that have given us raincheck tickets when people were very disruptive throughout the film or some other issue.
You won't believe that once I saw a man took off his shirt and shouting "I want popcorn I want popcorn". Someone thought he really wanted popcorn he throwed a lot at him😂😂😂😂😂
We went to a Century Theatre, and had major laughs as the pre show touted the new state of the art theater. Unfortunately the projector bulb was out and we got 8 minutes of a blank screen. They finally put in a new light, and gave everyone a free pass to another movie in addition to showing the original film.
StrivingFor Mindfulness I saw "The Ring" in the enormous Biograph theatre. John Dillinger was shot out front by the alley. Big place. 500 capacity, maybe? I was totally alone. VERY FREAKY EXPERIENCE.
I worked at 4 different movie theatres and none of them had cameras in the auditoriums. Occasionally we would step inside to make sure things were going okay or if we suspected there might be problems, but that's about it. Sometimes when a sneak preview would happen the security hired by the studios may watch you from the projection booth or stand in the auditorium wearing night vision goggles, but that's about it. There might be some theatres out there with cameras, but it's probably not as many as you think. They are right about the projectionists, I'd say the amount of time someone is up there is probably less than 16 hours a week and they aren't running the movies, they're scheduling or cleaning.
Yeah, and I worked in a theater through high school, plus I've seen a lot of movies over my lifetime and I've never seen anyone get into a fight at the movies. Not once.
"Most of the money is from concessions" "People pirate movies" "Kids sneak into R rated movies" "People sneak in food" "They can be dirty during weekends when there are more people going there" "Security monitors people during the movie" .... are you serious? These are practically common sense, not surprising facts. What a waste of 9 minutes.
Caz's Gaming Clips hey I didn’t know some of this, so respect us! ok nah i only didn’t know about the concessions thing and the cool fact about 3D movies!
100th like, and we agree with you, Caz's Gaming Clips! Bright Side has like an eighth of a brain when it comes to him calling common sense surprising facts.
Okay, let me clear some stuff up because I work at a movie theater, Cinemark at least. First, we do check where you’re going, you will get turned away if you’re underage. We don’t watch you while you’re watching the movie, we check in to see how many people are in a theater occasionally but we don’t watch anyone. Piracy rewards (500 dollars as he says) actually aren’t awarded anymore. We used to get 200 but now we get nothing for catching pirates. We don’t care if you have outside food, do what you want movie theater food is better. 3D glasses don’t actually cause motion sickness, it’s a placebo. There is no booth in the upper area for a projector, not just no one in there, no booth at all. Even on busy movie nights (I’ve cleaned up on Star Wars multiple times which are the busiest nights) we have time in between to clean, the schedule makes sure for that. Fights don’t barely ever occur, in my 2 years I’ve never see one fight happen or heard of any fights. Also, there’s no cameras in the theaters, they are entirely private. Stay informed!
People used to ask me all the time if the popcorn was fresh, one particular day I had cleaned the popper myself and then started it the next morning. I almost bit the ladies head off because I personally threw out all the popcorn and started a new batch the next day. XD I was grumpy that morning we closed at midnight.
Nah, we clean the popcorn poppers nightly and throw away leftover popcorn at the end of the night if none of the employees want it. Only time we've ever kept popcorn overnight was when a company bought out a couple of theaters and prepaid for 750 boxes of popcorn for their shows at 8am the next day.
at the theatre I work at we bag up several large bags at the end of the night ( we offer free refills on large popcorn/drinks) so if anyone wants one on the way home it is ready. all other left overs are bagged in big yellow plastic bags and stored downstairs for about a week. A local pig farmer comes and picks it up once a week or so for his piggies - they love popcorn.
So you're talking about how people get emotional and run out into the hallway which led to a movie at a film festival. How is this is movie fact that theaters don't want me to know?
The worst cinema experience I've ever had was in an IMAX theater. Back in Dec. 2016, we go and went to see Rogue One: A Star Wars Story on my local IMAX in 2D. So we got there and purchased two tickets (I'm with my mom) that says 3D on it, and some IMAX employee made an announcement that there will be a "reformat" to 2D. I was really confused because the website said 2D, and the ticket said 3D and that made sense. We went inside the theater, the IMAX intro played in 3D!!! Including the movie, I can't watch the entire movie in 3D without glasses. I went outside and told an employee (one of my embarrassing moments of my life) and I said to him that the movie played in 3D and maybe they are handing out glasses. I went inside the theater again, and saw the movie finally in 2D. I knew, an IMAX theater has a projectionist behind it. Now thank god that only the few seconds were in 3D, then a minute it became 2D. My knowledge that the employee told the projectionist that the movie is in 3D. If they can play 3D, why not make it 3D. The movie played in 2D by turning of the right projector (IMAX Digital). That is one of the worst moments of my life. And btw, we are allowed to bring any food inside the theater.
Back in 1977, a high school friend worked in a big theater. He told me to go to the window and ask for a "Service Charge" ticket. I did that, and that is how I was able to see "Star Wars" a dozen times for $0.25 a showing. I don't know if that would work today.
No wonder the food and everything is so expensive in movie theaters. I feel a bit bad for them after knowing this now. I rarely go to the movies but love it when I do. I wonder if people still go to drive ins? Those are nice and I think cheaper too.
I didn't see Black Panther because I am white and I need to have my race represented in all forms of entertainment or else I can't identify with the protagonist or feel sympathy for the plot. That same reason is also why I've never watched an anime.
Bill Queensland The movie theater that I go to dose it but in a video motin and it actually gets you, it showed a hotdog so I went off to go get one for myself .
The title could almost be labeled as clickbait really, I did not see anything here that theaters don't want us to know. Still pretty informative but change the title.
T. F. He's definitely sarcastic. No movie theater is that cheap! It'll cost you both arms and legs, a kidney and half your liver for a medium popcorn. You'll need to sell your home if you want a drink with it.
my first job was at the Dollar show by my house and it was awesome. It just closed down weeks ago and has still been the only Dollar Theatre i've EVER seen. i miss it every time i pass it
Yeah, around my area it's about 12-15 For a large 5-8 for a small popcorn and I mean small .....like three handfuls at best, and about 5 For a small soda and 10 for a large. And they wonder why larger families don't go to the movies often,or if they do, then why the mother's purse is stuffed with enough snacks to feed a small army.
I watched Hachi in second grade right after MY DOG DIED. It was terrible, me and two other girls were crying because we all had dogs that died with in the past year (at the time).
actually, a child CAN watch a rated r movie if they go with their parents and the parents ok it. the rule is rated r: not allowed without parents [permission]. with a parent or adult [no one has the right to ask anymore] you are automatically allowed.
dear boss the child has to be with the adult. Not just given permission but actually attend the movie with their parent. You can’t just buy your kid a ticket and send them in alone. It doesn’t work that way
tried to get in to see the new Deadpool movie with my dad and it's rated 15, they asked for ID and when I said I didn't have any they said I couldn't get in until I could prove I was 15 :|
I work at Cinemark so this is my opinion on the list. 1. Yes that is obvious thought everyone knew that. 2. Lol that hardly happens anymore. Yes some people are able to sneak in. But definitely not often. 3. Yeah that happens too but most of the time it's obvious that they bought the ticket to sneak in and we grab them 4. Never happened at my theater. I know it happens in the example you give, but that movie RAW shows someone eating human flesh so yeah. 5. We have a bag policy that you can't bring in backpacks and stuff but we employees are chill about other stuff you have. 6. Personally I don't like 3D films. That being said whenever I have watched a 3D movie I've never felt this way. More of a personal problem rather than a movie theater problem. 7. While no there's no one up there we can change some things. But yes you have to come tell us 8. We have enough time to clean up and when someone spilled something we can usually take care of it in the time allowed 9. Lol never seen it happen yet in my theater, looking forward to it. 10. We don't have cameras in our theater at all, anywhere. So no on that one. Can't say about the more expensive ones through. They probably do
Neuvation we are a discount Cinemark. So movie tickets are $3 each and some days $1.50. But since we are discount our theater dosnt quite get as much attention as a normal first run theater.
I've worked at a cinema too. for #10, yes there are no cameras usually, but staff can still watch audience from the projector room through tiny the tiny windows, or from the window of the theatre door. I've done it
That means the theater wasn't enforcing the rules, since someone under 17 is only supposed to be admitted to an R-rated movie with a parent or legal guardian.
For many years I always carried my own drink into movies. I didn't sneak it though, I dared someone to try and stop me. My reason was, if they only sell Coca-Cola products then they cannot stop me from bringing in my Dr Pepper. Now the contract Coke had with all these theaters has run out and I gladly buy my Dr Pepper and the inflated price. Happy to support a theater that caters to my taste.
#6 is nonsense. "When you put the glasses on, your eyes are telling your brain, that you're moving." lol What? That happens in VR. Simple stereoscopic movies aren't immersive enough for that. In comparison, they are still kind of flat and you can still see the room around you, destroying any illusion of self-movement or being in the movie... The problem with 3D movies lies within our depth-perception. When we look at something, both eyes aim for that object and their gazes cross at the object in a certain angle, depending on the distance. The eyes then have to move their lenses, to focus the object, so we see a sharp image. Each of these two steps, independent of one another, allows the brain to estimate how far away the object is. And they give the same estimates. All your life, an object that was 10m away also looked like it was 10m away. Unless it's a 3D movie on a screen! Your eyes aim at objects of virtually varying distances (projected image), even though they focus these objects at a different physical distance (actual surface of the screen). This dissonance gives people a headache. All your life your brain was certain, that it was able to estimate the distance to an object just by looking at it. And suddenly things don't add up anymore. It's an optical illusion and your brains feels it.
In my City in Germany your tickets are controlled at the entry. So me and my friends watched 4 movies a night even tho we all bought just a single ticket. Well, they caught us after the 4 movies but we didn’t even get a penalty😂
Just please don’t blame employees for pricing. Its all corporate decision, not even the general manager of the theater is aloud to do anything about it, nor the district managers. Pretty much the COO of a theater chain can really do anything with that. So go to corporate with price problems, not employees, they just work there and are trying to get home, and dont think they get paid so much because of how expensive everything is, its minimum wage, even for the managers for some chains, and managers have to deal with projection, customer service, safety, cleanliness, money, stock, and keeping employees under control. What ever you do, just be gentle with theater employees. They work there, their trying to pay bills, and its hard to listen to an outrageous customer when you’re having to deal with 1000 with a shift. Be gentle. And half of this video is false lol.
CristianTheRich Inwas just like: Did the movie start in the credits? Because, let me tell you, that ending got me confused and I’m wondering is there’s a second part or something
DonutBunnyHop at the verrrry end of the credits it shows Fury and his partner die and so do many people all over the world. Then it said thanos will return
Regarding #7: this is not always true. An ex-gf of mine was a movie theater manager, and there were a few times she and I were in the projection booth during a film. Granted, we weren't paying any attention to the movie...
When I was younger I did the R-rated thing. I would buy a ticket for a movie that's playing within 30 mins of the movie I wanted to see, then go mill around for 10 mins, then buy my popcorn/drink and by that time everyone that should watch me, has forgotten about me. Then I just walk into the movie I was there to see.
Erin Brunk did you watch the whole thing cuz this guy explained that projectors are no longer controlled by an individual that has to sit in there anymore
+Justin Jaramillo, that's not entirely true either. Don't know where this person gets their info, but many times it is misinformation and not even close to accurate. There is a person there, they are now UNION CONTRACTED, if you don't belong to some kind of projectionists union, you can't even get a job in a movie theater running the projection equipment. I was a projectionist many years ago, no union, but with all the new techno stuff, well seems the rules have changed. But there is someone up there, it's just that they are operating every projector up there, so they may not be in the same theater when the projector has a breakdown, but they eventually get to it because there are alarms and idiot lights on them to alert them to issues. They are always in sight or hearing of these alarms. It just may take them a little time to get to the issue because of the number of projectors they're trying to keep up and running. In my day it was 2 projectors, now theaters can be as low as 6 viewing rooms up to 30 or more, can you imagine trying to keep up with a room of 20 or 30 projectors? I couldn't do it, not now. And many times they only have one, maybe 2 projectionists on duty to take care of issues.
as a current employee of a movie theater, I can confirm that some theaters do in fact have cameras. We have night vision cameras in some of our bigger theaters and our IMAX. I suppose it's for security measures but we also have no employee or manager who thoroughly checks the footage
I used to work at a cinema. This information is not a secret. We don't hold any this information away from the public like, " shhh, don't tell anyone." The title seems to imply that we really had any dark secrets. Just ask anyone! The staff is human too!
And one more thing. I've also worked at three other locations and the information would very greatly to each. Sorry to sound a little aggressive it's is just the public forgets a lot that these are people and not robots. Most of them are in high school and this is their first job so they are going to be a bit inexperienced in a few things. So chill!
A friend and I took Taco Bell in to a theatre. I loaded up a crunchy taco with hot sauce during a loud trailer for an action film. Right as I took a bite the trailer went silent for a dramatic moment. * CRUNCH*
Actually popcorn costs $25.00 AUD and coke costs like $20.00 AUD in Australia. Edit: some people might reply with “now we know what country you live in”, I’d just say “wouldn’t my channel name give it away?” Edit 2: movie tickets cost like $70.00 AUD for like idk, 2 - 3 people.
Why would anyone be surprised that the movie theater staff is watching you? Why wouldn't they be watching you? Same goes for a Walmart or any other kind of store or business. The place of business is held responsible for yours and other guest safety of course they watching you.
Back in middle school the movie theater was the place to meet girlfriends and do dirty things the whole time, Id choose movies that had been out along time so that there was no one else in there and were really long so we have the most time possible to have fun.. I never had any employee bother us or kick us out.
LeoOsc Perez I cannot see 3D for some reason when I put those glasses on I just see weird lines all over around the items on screen but nothing looks 3D at all
in the UK most cinemas allow you to bring ur own food ;) also i used to be a projectionist and they have a timetable to check during certain changeovers (start of reel, start of ads start of trailers and start of movie) in case of reel jams and lens changes, besides the programming is done by a person so there is always the possibility of a fk up lol
I went to see Zootopia and a mom and two kids say In front of us. Through a good chunk of the movie she let her kids wonder around in the row and the mom was taking selfies with her kids. Awesome parenting, thanks for ruining my movie experience. 🖕
Whoa... I feel so sorry for you bro. The mom that you're looking at is the mom who never got a respect education yeah that mom parents probably a filthy junk seller it's typical to find a mom/parents who doesn't have a parenting skills
My first job was at a Hollywood Theatre. Most of the managers I worked with would look the other way when a person snuck into another movie as long as they bought snacks at the concession stand....
I heard people crying during Titanic and there was near mass hysteria when Carry, from the 1970s film with the same name, reached from the grave and grabbed her classmate's leg.
What was the last film you saw at the cinema?

Because they don't care. Plus, in France, we have some "unlimited entry pass" card offers whose holders often stopped giving a f*ck about the audience, taking the movie theater as their own private living room.
$5 for popcorn? Where? it's $7.50 for a small popcorn at most of my theatres. $11.00 for a large.
That's a fair price, but Bulgaria is a very different country from America.
Jeff Nero depends on where you live.
Here it's $9.50 for a small popcorn.
Um why so expensive a small popcorn for me is like $3 or $4
Jeff Nero That is like 3 times the price even in the most expensive European countries

I put in contacts when I go see 3D movies
I just put mine over
Nope
I met a lady who brings in her empty large popcorn bag in her purse every time to get infinite free refills
how does that work?
But they have like a coupon no?
That's why they usually mark the bottom of the refill bags/tub to find out if it was refilled.
I always sneak in a back of Cheetos and Cola at Cinemark. I swear their prices are such a scam, 4 bucks for a small sack of M&Ms...
freeNode5 too bad that doesn't work at all .
Light saber practice, obviously!
Oh thank God cuz on one of my dates i had a make out session with my boy friend and some other stuff went down😬😅

boss man27 fr bro. Just duck tape the snacks to yourself under your shirt. You'll be fine. I've done it.
Poor guys... Movie theaters here in our country allow outside foods. So no need to snuck it in there or hide it you can even go inside while eating outside foods and it will just be fine.
Helbert Gascon really? Cause my local theatre took mine away once. Said I couldn't bring outside food.
Different cinemas got different standards I guess
I believe you every time i go to the movie theatre my seat always smells gross
Can u write my essays??
DeceptiveSmog yeah a couple theaters in my area seem excellent. They actually have leather couches for seats, which I imagine are easy to wipe clean real quick so I hope they do it lol I don’t know why a theater would invest in electronic reclining couches and not maintain them properly. Then on the other side of the spectrum I’ve seen theaters that I wouldn’t doubt share the same practices this guy is talking about.
Mc Kenna so in every cinema in the world don't clean the seats and etc?
I miss the days when I would go to the theater and could hear the movie projecter (reel to reel). I liked that sound for some reason.
They should understand people use phone camera to post it on IG's story
I work at AMC and we don't have cameras in the theatre
We do have staff in there though
It’s worth mentioning that since they make all their money on concessions, theatres are very easily convinced to offer refunds. If you go to a theatre and something about your experience isn’t great, tell the staff. Or you can call and even sometimes email a representative that will offer movie passes to make up for the experience. Since the theatre doesn’t make much on the actual film, giving free passes will encourage people to come back and spend more money on concessions.
Yeah... only kind of. From working at a movie theater, we have had people rudely demand a movie refund for not liking the movie, despite sitting through the entire thing. If something is wrong with the film, come out immediately.
but if they make their money off concessions, I don't get why you wouldn't just give out tickets.....making 4 bucks for popcorn is a good deal
My local Cineworld here in the U.K. allows any food or drink to be brought in with u.
Fun fact: if you spill a drink in the theatre let an employee know so we can get a mop and clean it up instead of letting us find out an hour after it's happened
And miss out on the movie? No way!
Lesovahs right! Why would we miss out on the movie?
To Janeen Eddy: This would be the right thing to do; however, even in life doing the right thing at the wrong time will have its good Samaritan seeking system stymied, and finding the not so good situation being bestowed upon the well-meaning.

I work at one of the best Movie Theatres in the U.S. we clean after every show. Our guest services is what brings people back. Our loyalty program is next to none. Our projectionists are constantly doing checks and CAN fix projection issues in minutes. We aren’t like bigger theatre chains, but we give you everything with a smile.

Hi
We went to a Century Theatre, and had major laughs as the pre show touted the new state of the art theater. Unfortunately the projector bulb was out and we got 8 minutes of a blank screen. They finally put in a new light, and gave everyone a free pass to another movie in addition to showing the original film.
Yooo now I kinda wish the screen in my movie theater broke for 8 minutes
I prefers to go to the movies after the movie has been out for a few weeks.I go during the middle of the week around noon in order to avoid crowds.😁
samory8280
Same. I've seen some movies completely alone, no one else in the theater at all. Bliss.
That’s what I do with horror movies because most people go and see them at night so why not see it during the day
StrivingFor Mindfulness I saw "The Ring" in the enormous Biograph theatre.
I said the same thing... im trying to open a movie theatre on the small country i live on.
Thank you so much for uploading this video. It is helping me get through the pandemic!
Did you know: laugh tracks were invented to give the feeling that you are in a theater and the rest of the audience is laughing
This should be called 'A few things you know about going to the movies and a couple you don't'
One thing I've heard mentioned is that the leftover popcorn is often bagged up and resold. So it could be several days old.
For local theaters, it can be like that, considering how few staff people are working at night. But even then it doesn't happen that frequently.
At the theaters I frequent, I can see the actual popcorn I'm getting, being popped. Always a good sign. 😎

I don't know if that would work today.
ussling probably not but it’s worth a shot
No wonder the food and everything is so expensive in movie theaters. I feel a bit bad for them after knowing this now. I rarely go to the movies but love it when I do. I wonder if people still go to drive ins? Those are nice and I think cheaper too.
Yes. There's a nice drive in theater here in Tulsa, OK... But it cost the same...
The drive-in in Glendale, AZ (near Phoenix) is cheaper and you also get to watch two movies for that lower price.
Tucson lost their only drive-in a while ago - I didn't think there were more than a few left in the entire US?
Trinh Nguyen I have a drive in where I live n it’s only 7 dollars for 2 movies and the concession stand is cheap

It doesn’t work that way
tried to get in to see the new Deadpool movie with my dad and it's rated 15, they asked for ID and when I said I didn't have any they said I couldn't get in until I could prove I was 15 :|
IF THEY GO WITH THEIR PARENTS. GOING WITH THEIR PARENTS MEAN THE PARENTS OKAY IT. and nowadays no one can ask you if a child is yours or not.
Well clearly this cinema didn't do that
well, aaron, since you call it the cinema I already know that you and I are on different sides of the coin.
I work at Cinemark so this is my opinion on the list.
1. Yes that is obvious thought everyone knew that.
2. Lol that hardly happens anymore. Yes some people are able to sneak in. But definitely not often.
3. Yeah that happens too but most of the time it's obvious that they bought the ticket to sneak in and we grab them
But yes you have to come tell us
8. We have enough time to clean up and when someone spilled something we can usually take care of it in the time allowed
9. Lol never seen it happen yet in my theater, looking forward to it.
10. We don't have cameras in our theater at all, anywhere. So no on that one. Can't say about the more expensive ones through. They probably do
Thanks for the opinion and insight though I’m very surprised the snack policy isn’t in place as well as cameras.
I've done it
Jidd Aji So have I but in the video he says someone is up there the whole movie and that's just not true.

Movie theatre near me has a FANTASTIC chair infact, it's A RECLINING 1-person couch
I once asked an older boy in line to buy me a 18 rated movie ticket (I was 16)
He said yes because I paid him. He said I was his sister 😂
That means the theater wasn't enforcing the rules, since someone under 17 is only supposed to be admitted to an R-rated movie with a parent or legal guardian.
i don't get you
He has to be 21. They didn't enforce the policies correctly. 17 rear olds can go solo but anyone under must be with someone 21 or older.
That should be "at" the inflated price.
Yes it should. I shall now leave it for all the world to see my shame. I r iz gud spehlr.
Waaaah they don't sell my type of soda :(
Steven Cox Actually, where I live, Dr Pepper is partnered with coke and not pepsi. Boy did I get lucky.
How dare the theater not cater to YOUR taste!!
The more and more I watch this channel the more I enjoy it! So much information delivered in an entertaining way!
Rubbish
p0rt3r
I'm always dizzy after watching 3d movies and it makes me feel...
Odd...
Hurts my head...
OOF
I have no problem with 3D. I enjoy it, except when I take the glasses off, I feel cross-eyed!
What about the Pulfric effect though dudes? 🤔
Hmm. What about it?
The Pulfrich effect isn't applied in IMAX / 3D cinemas.
In my City in Germany your tickets are controlled at the entry. So me and my friends watched 4 movies a night even tho we all bought just a single ticket. Well, they caught us after the 4 movies but we didn’t even get a penalty😂

@Toastie1305 This isn' t new information it' s been happening for many , many years already!
The only advantage of working at a movie theater is possibly watching all the movies in piecemeal.
Yoda that was dancing actually got me 🤣

Regarding #7: this is not always true. An ex-gf of mine was a movie theater manager, and there were a few times she and I were in the projection booth during a film. Granted, we weren't paying any attention to the movie...
I avoid 3d because it gives me headaches and hurts my eyes even when l have the glasses on
I've worked at 2 different movie chains over 5 years and no cameras have ever been used in auditoriums to watch customers.
Then where my Pornhub video take place?!
It took 2:44 to tell us what we already knew about concessions markups?
Popcorn is where the money is at! The upsells make the big money ;)

That's why I stopped going to the movies.
The last part is a lie. There are no cameras in the auditoriums.
Yeah. Because the people who project it see it anyway. People who work at movie theaters. Correct me if I'm wrong. Nicely?
Not all theathers have it but some do.
Another movie tip: if you know the manager and/or a few of the staff, you can get in for free.
So chill!
KAGE26 Channel lol as o read this I laughed ..... A LOT
Your monsters
Perdoct we me act like them but at least new dont look like them unlike you
CP gaming that was uncalled for
A friend and I took Taco Bell in to a theatre. I loaded up a crunchy taco with hot sauce during a loud trailer for an action film. Right as I took a bite the trailer went silent for a dramatic moment. * CRUNCH*
That's convenient
I probably would have laughed and coughed out some taco xD
Ha ha ha 😄
where tf you finding popcorn for $5??? in texas its like $8 for small
king24lakerskobe and a large is about 32 xD (I live in Texas)
outrageous prices for concessions is an obvious way to maximize their profits
Actually popcorn costs $25.00 AUD and coke costs like $20.00 AUD in Australia.
Edit: some people might reply with “now we know what country you live in”, I’d just say “wouldn’t my channel name give it away?”
Edit 2: movie tickets cost like $70.00 AUD for like idk, 2 - 3 people.
Why do we care where you live?
Dang how much do movies tickets cost?
4:22 I was in tears after watching a star is born😭
Here in sweden you can see r rated movies with an adult and you can bring your own snack with out sneaking it in
Big o wow! That's great
Jahnavi Sodha Finland too, and to my knowledge other parts of Northern Europe too
the almighty duck I think that's great. Our cinemas don't allow that. Lucky you!
Why would anyone be surprised that the movie theater staff is watching you? Why wouldn't they be watching you? Same goes for a Walmart or any other kind of store or business. The place of business is held responsible for yours and other guest safety of course they watching you.
tobyyawn24 Im an usher at a theater and the only people we keep and eye on is teenagers
They also watch you sleep 😲😲
Back in middle school the movie theater was the place to meet girlfriends and do dirty things the whole time, Id choose movies that had been out along time so that there was no one else in there and were really long so we have the most time possible to have fun.. I never had any employee bother us or kick us out.
Excuse me did you just say middle school
my middle school plays movies in the auditorium during lunch this is normal
Yeah my middle school was known for that too... Sadly
@@sierrajoham Congratulations
Kid, you're famous on Pornhub, the employees uploaded everything and I... Ain't gonna finish this sentence.
Always great, fun content from this channel!
Get on my level. I snuck two whole dominos pizza's in once
Admit it, you bribed the staff with the third and fourth pies!!
You legend
Jules Thomas Genius me and my friends need to do this
ive just walked in with 24 tacos into the movies, point?
How did you sneak it in?
I don’t watch 3D anymore because it hurts and stings my eyes. 😭
LeoOsc Perez I cannot see 3D for some reason when I put those glasses on I just see weird lines all over around the items on screen but nothing looks 3D at all
The glasses scrape my ears....
LeoOsc Perez i can't see anything in 3D its blurry for me
I would get a slight headache but then I would get used to it. It doesn’t bother me now.
in the UK most cinemas allow you to bring ur own food ;) also i used to be a projectionist and they have a timetable to check during certain changeovers (start of reel, start of ads start of trailers and start of movie) in case of reel jams and lens changes, besides the programming is done by a person so there is always the possibility of a fk up lol
Anthony Daly same in Norway we can even bring our own food. Cinema food here is more expensive so we get cheaper snacks outside cinemas.
Ayy_Cheri the price of popcorn is out of this world. But on the other hand I like to hear the can roll to the front row, lol.
Anthony Daly the UK always sounds better than here in the states!!
In the philipines you can also bring food and trailers and the movei
Anthony Daly wow, The UK is so different
My local cinema allows you to bring your own snacks into screening !!! 😊😂
Yeah
Our cinema in ph is just inside the mall
Mine is attached to a mall but you just sneak them in lol
I think it depends on the mall and rules
If they watch me, then they saw me and my 3 friends hop on every single seat of the movie theatre....
When I watched Jurassic world fallen kingdom someone managed to bring their BABY into the theater
I went to see Zootopia and a mom and two kids say In front of us. Through a good chunk of the movie she let her kids wonder around in the row and the mom was taking selfies with her kids. Awesome parenting, thanks for ruining my movie experience. 🖕
Ravethecat12 no worries. It’s on Netflix now so you can watch it comfortably
Whoa... I feel so sorry for you bro. The mom that you're looking at is the mom who never got a respect education yeah that mom parents probably a filthy junk seller it's typical to find a mom/parents who doesn't have a parenting skills
This what your voice is for. Speak up! At least tell the servers/movie theater employees
ugidie boogidie
*wander
@ 9:08 what's the difference in the split screens ? The ❌ and the ✅ show the same image 🤷🏿♂️
Yeahh
My first job was at a Hollywood Theatre. Most of the managers I worked with would look the other way when a person snuck into another movie as long as they bought snacks at the concession stand....
This is why you go to a Drive-In movie theater, to make out. ...Just make sure your car has a stiff suspension. ;P
badreality2 They don't call it "Drive" "IN" for nothin'
Passion of the Christ. Only movie I seen people in the hallway crying.
E Suarez I remember all the hubbub. Seems funny now, people getting all emotional over a fictional character that never existed. lol
Brainwashing will do that to ya.
For sure. But gotta admit Passion of the Christ 2 was lit AF. Chris Tucker killed it
mpnothanks
You don't have to believe he had powers if you don't want to, but Jesus *was* a person. He did exist.
I heard people crying during Titanic and there was near mass hysteria when Carry, from the 1970s film with the same name, reached from the grave and grabbed her classmate's leg.
